Publishing day finally came to Ms. Walker’s 5th grade classroom!
Students worked hard during the months of February and March to research a famous person they were interested in.
The class got to see all of their hard work pay off in a published book!
Our PTA has organized an online fundraiser to help secure funds for some larger projects here at Williams. We are now able to purchase spirit wear through the website
https://apparelnow.com/williams-elementary-apparel
You are able to customize your order, pay for it online, and have it shipped directly to you. We will earn 12% of all sales. The site is currently offering a 15% discount through April 23rd.
The plan is for this opportunity to be available for our community for the next year.

Snyder's Pizza!
Before Spring Break, the students in Mrs. Snyder's 3rd grade classroom put their fraction knowledge to the test. They had pizza orders placed by teachers to make. They had to create the pizza and then deliver it to the teacher that placed the order. Some orders were fairly easy like the order example in the picture and some were more difficult (1/8, 2/4, 1/2) because the fractions were mixed within one pizza.
Students did a wonderful job with this project!
Cleaning our your closets? Please consider donating your gently used Spirit Wear to the Class of 2024. Items collected will be sold at Riverfest so if you are looking for your own Jonesville gear, come see us at Jonesville Middle School on May 21st.
Recently, Mrs. DeGuise’s 4th grade class had guest presenters visit the classroom to teach the students all about bees. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Mrs. Snyder's 3rd graders wrote to Sandra Markle, author of the WHAT IF YOU HAD!!! animal series.
The students took 2 weeks on this persuasive research piece. They picked an animal adaptation and researched 3 different animals that shared that adaptation. After their research, they revised and edited by themselves and with peers. Finally, they published their piece using Google Docs. Sandra Markle wrote back to Mrs. Snyder and identified 3 star writers whom she sent a copy of one of her books.
Brady Marchand (pictured left) wrote about hibernation, Matthew Organ (pictured right) wrote about venom, and Sophia Dooley (not pictured) wrote about animal wings.
Last Friday, Mrs. Snyder's 3rd grade class wrapped up their Economics Unit with a product party!
The students researched Michigan made products and created a presentation or poster to share with the class.
Mrs. Snyder brought in all of the products that were researched for a sampling of Michigan made products.
Jonesville Mission is now adding another day for their food baskets. In addition to the second Friday of every month, they will now be handing out food baskets every fourth Wednesday which is tomorrow. There is a location change for this pickup though. The location for this pickup is at 501 Olds st location in front of Martinrea. It's from 4-6.
Mrs. Snyder's 3rd grade class has been learning about Michigan made products and recently had a HUGE box delivered to them from the director of the National Cherry Festival.
The box included cherry juice, dried cherries, chocolate covered cherries, cherry BBQ chips, pancake mix, BBQ cherry sauce, sour cherry candy, Fustini's balsamic vinegar, dip mix packets, and other goodies for the kids. Mrs. Snyder's class was very excited about this delivery. (If you have never traveled to Traverse City it is a town worth visiting!)
Thank you to the Cherry Festival for making such a generous donation.
Reminder about our Special Education Millage discussion tonight at Jonesville High School in the cafetorium at 5:30. See you there!
Mr. Anderson's 5th grade class is applying their understanding of the Stamp Act by creating comic strips.
This is a reminder that our town hall meeting discussing the Special Education millage will be held tomorrow at Jonesville High School at 5:30. If you look at this data it shows that a house value of $155,000 would have an increase of around $13 a month. Come out tomorrow to ask any questions you have!
