What’s Happening at Williams: Week of August 26th, 2024
Students are doing a nice job adjusting to new routines and showing Comet P.R.I.D.E. Please ask them about the expectations in the hallway, cafeteria, and the classroom. This will help them recall what they should do and will help you understand a little bit more about their day here at Williams.
Thank you for your patience during drop-off and pick-up. We want to make sure that everyone pulls all the way up in our Large West parking lot to the end of the sidewalk. Please do not stop at the 5th grade doors when dropping off or picking up . Be kind and pull all the way up as far as you can go. Ask the adults out there if you are unclear. Remember our doors open at 7:40, and drop off is between 7:40-7:55. You can avoid some of the heavy traffic by dropping off later in the drop off time period.
If you are dropping off in the Front U-Shaped drive in the morning please make sure you stay to the left and have your seats arranged in the car so kids can get out on the sidewalk side if possible. Again, the drop off time period is between 7:40-7:55. You can avoid the heavier part of traffic by coming later if your schedule allows it. Please do not park on the right side and have students cross traffic in the morning. This is not as safe as dropping them off on the right side using the sidewalk.
Our PTA Fall Popcorn Fundraiser packet will come home Monday. All orders are due back to the office by Monday, September 9th. Please remember that all orders must be paid for at the time of order.
If you are thinking about volunteering in the school or being a chaperone on a field trip this school year please remember that background checks have to be done yearly. Call the office and we can send one home with your child.
No School this Friday, August 30th or Monday, September 2nd. Have a nice Labor Day weekend!
