What’s Happening at Williams: Week of September 9th, 2024

  • The first three weeks of school have gone fast.  The staff and students are settling in for another great school year.  We want to thank all of our parents for being so supportive.  What a wonderful community we have!

  • This Wednesday our GSRP Preschool starts their first day of school.  This means that the back drop-off and pick up area will have parents who are brand new at using the area.  These preschoolers will be in 5-point harnesses and things can be a little slow for the first few days as the kids get used to their new routines.  Please be patient while we get adjusted if you have a 3rd or 4th grader who you are dropping off or picking up in the back.  On another note, if you have a K-prep or Kinder who has a GSRP sibling their drop off and pick up will now be in the back.  Thanks!

  • All popcorn fundraiser sheets are due this Monday to your child’s teacher so they can turn it into the office.  Thanks for your support!

  • Volunteer Protocol:  Throughout the year there will be opportunities for parents to volunteer in the classroom, at a party, or go on a field trip as a chaperone.  Everyone who is interested in this is welcome but will have to fill out a form located in our office and have a background check before doing so.  Once the form is turned back into the office you will only receive a phone call if you are not approved.  This has to be done each year in order to volunteer in the building.  Here is the form.  IChat Form  You can email or scan them to sbaker@jonesvilleschools.org as well.

  • On Thursday, September 12th, Spangler’s family restaurant is hosting a day where 15% of all they make will come back to our school to help purchase our next piece of playground equipment.  They are open from 7:30am-8:00pm.  You can dine-in or get carry-out.
