Students in Ms. Broesamle's Hometown History class have been studying the history of Jonesville from its origins in 1828 to today. For this end of the unit project, they needed to find a place in Jonesville and represent it in both the past and the present. Students had the choice to create drawings and maps or create replicas or dioramas based on the research conducted in class and on their own. Some students went as far as interviewing business owners!
Students then were able to be ‘art gallery curators.’ They walked through their research process and taught their classmates about their masterpieces and the history behind each detail.
